ALTA wireless AC Current Meters measure the RMS current of an alternating current (AC) system using a current transformer (CT) that wraps around the "hot" wire of a two wire (hot, common, ground(optional)) power system. The sensor reports Minimum RMS current, maximum RMS current, average RMS current, and amp hours to the iMonnit system. The iMonnit system is capable of generating watt hour or kilowatt hour readings as well. ALTA - Leading Enterprise Grade "Internet of Things" Solutions ALTA sensors offer 3 to 4 times the range of standard sensor platforms, extending non-line-of-sight reach to an exceptional 1,000+ feet through walls (12-14 walls typical). Using Frequency-hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) also allows ALTA sensors to have better interference immunity from other wireless devices. Superior power management provides ALTA sensors with almost twice the battery life of Monnit’s standard wireless sensors. - Coin cell sensors typically last 3+ years. - AA and Industrial sensors typically last up to 10+ years. ALTA products employ Monnit's new Encrypt-RF™ Security (256-bit Diffie Hellman key exchange and AES-128 CBC encryption for all sensor data messages), so security is maintained at all communication points from sensor to gateway, gateway to software, then back again. Integrated on-board data storage allows ALTA sensors to store data messages if communication to a wireless gateway is disrupted (power outage, Internet outage, or out of range). Messages that can’t be delivered will be time-stamped and stored in memory (up to the last 512 messages) until communication with the gateway is restored, at which point the messages will all be transmitted. Over-the-air updates allow ALTA products to be updated remotely if new fixes or features become available. The standard version of this sensor is powered by two replaceable 1.5 V AA sized batteries (included with purchase). This sensor is also available with a line power option. The line powered version of this sensor has a barrel power connector allowing it to be powered by a standard 3.0 - 3.8 V power supply (Included with Line Power option upgrade). The line powered version also uses two standard 1.5 V AA batteries as backup for uninterrupted operation in the event of line power outage. Power options must be selected at time of purchase, as the internal hardware of the sensor must be changed to support the selected power requirements.

The ALTA Wireless Water Rope Sensor detects conductive liquids anywhere along the length of the detection rope by using two wires covered with conducting polymer. When water or conductive liquid contacts the rope, the sensor will immediately turn on the RF radio and transmit the data to the wireless gateway and iMonnit Online Sensor Monitoring and Notification System, allowing the user to immediately receive an alert by SMS text, email or voice call. The sensor rope dries quickly allowing the sensor to reset for next use. The sensor comes with an initial 10 foot section of water detection rope and can be expanded up to 100 feet by simply clicking additional 10 foot sections of detection rope together.
